Ayodele is Partner and Chair of Bloomfield LP’s Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group. He has been involved in several energy transactions, including divestment deals, marginal fields transactions, power sector privatization transactions, major gas deals like the AKK and the Optimera project in the Lagos FTZ. He also advises on mid and downstream energy deals like refining, LNG and CNG related transactions, advising companies like Aradel Refineries (formerly ND Refineries) and Optimera Energy (a joint venture company consisting of FHN, Falcon and ND Western). He also advised on aspects of the financing for the rehabilitation of the NNPC Kadunaand Warri Refineries.
He has also been involved in policy advisory and also been part of the team drafting some of the Petroleum Industry Act related Regulations. He teaches Energy Policy at the Center for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, University of Ibadan and is routinely invited to teach and or speak at energy related programs and trainings, both locally and internationally. He writes regularly on energy law, policy and related issues including net-zero, energy transition and decarbonization. His writings suggest that, whilst he supports energy transition, he believes Africa requires energy addition first and a truly just (energy) transition.
