Dapo is both a professional engineer and a HSE Expert with over 33 years of experience in the petroleum industry, both Upstream and Downstream. He joined the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria in 1984 as an electrical engineer, and by 1989 had become the Head of Electrical Engineering Section of the Engineering Department in the Western Division, Warri. By 1991, he was moved into Field Engineering as Section Head for Swamp Field Construction, and was involved in construction of pipelines, flowlines and upgrade of oil/gas facilities.
