Dolapo Kukoyi is a renowned energy and infrastructure strategist, legal expert, and governance
leader with over 20 years of experience driving high-impact projects across Africa.
She is currently the Founder and Lead Advisor of Open Spaces and Bridges a Strategic Energy
and Infrastructure Advisory Firm focused on Africa and Emerging Markets. She is also founder of AFARA an accelerator for African female entrepreneurs in the African Energy and Infrastructure space.
Dolapo is also a senior international consultant offering policy, legal, and regulatory advice to
governments, regulators, development finance institutions, donors, philanthropic
organizations, and think tanks, including GIZ, GetTransform, GetInvest, FCDO, the African
Climate Foundation, and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. She has also led and
coordinated technical assistance efforts with donors, development finance institutions and
philanthropies on programs aimed at increasing energy access and accelerating energy
transition in Nigeria and across Africa.
She serves on multiple boards and in leadership positions, including Kowry Energy (Berlin &
Africa), Arctic Infrastructure, and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, where she shapes
investment policies, governance frameworks, and climate finance strategies. Her expertise has
been recognized by IFLR 1000, Chambers, and Who’s Who Legal, cementing her reputation as a
leading voice in private capital mobilization, energy transition, and regulatory reform.
