Gbolahan Elias is a partner in G. Elias, a leading Nigerian business law firm that is a member of Multilaw, a leading global alliance of independent law firms with offices in over one hundred countries. He works for production companies of all sizes, midstream and downstream players, and service providers.
He has been advising on tax challenges, seminal mergers and acquisitions, controversial privatizations, large and complex financings, transformative long-term gas sales and other commercial arrangements, acreage acquisitions and disposals, pioneering infrastructure projects, critical arbitration and litigation, and impactful law reform efforts.
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and of the Energy Institute. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1981 and the New York Bar in 1990, and has been a Senior Advocate of Nigeria since 2005. He read law at Magdalen and Merton Colleges, Oxford, with much-coveted laurels. He has been a part-time professor at Babcock University, llishan-Remo.
