Jumoke Fajemirokun is an energy lawyer with over 20 years of post-qualification experience She is a partner at ENR Advisory, an energy, natural resources and infrastructure focused law firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, she works extensively with operators in the petroleum and mining sectors and routinely advises on policy, regulatory, transactional and project development issues across the value chain. She also provides support to government and developmental agencies on policy formulation and reforms aimed at enhancing governance and regulatory structures in the energy and infrastructure sectors and creating an enabling environment for increased investments into these sectors. Recently, she led a team constituted by the Rural Electrification Agency to support the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission in fast-tracking the licensing of mini-grid projects under the Solar-Hybrid Mini-Grid component of the Nigerian Electrification Project. She has also worked as a legal consultant with the World Bank in Washington, D.C., where she provided support to the World Bank Group’s Sanctions Board in reviewing integrity compliance issues in the procurement and execution of World Bank-financed projects.
She is recognised as a National Leader for Energy, Natural Resources and Mining by Who’s Who Legal. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the NBA Section on Business Law Mining Law Committee and was a Co-Thematic Lead under the Manufacturing and Mining Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.
Jumoke holds law degrees from the University of Lagos and Georgetown University Law Center. She is licensed to practice law in Nigeria and in the State of New York.
