Okechukwu is the Managing Director Anoh Gas Processing Company Limited (AGPC), a midstream gas company owned by Seplat Energy and NNPC that is developing a 300MMscfd integrated gas plant at the Assa North gas field in Imo State. Upon completion in 2023, the AGPC ANOH gas plant will significantly increase gas supply to the domestic market, displacing diesel as fuel for power generation. The plant will also increase local production of LPG.
Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of AGPC, Okechukwu held several senior positions in Seplat Energy including General Manager Gas business. In that capacity, he immensely contributed to the growth of Seplat’s Gas business into an Industry-recognized, leading supplier of Gas into the domestic market. He previously worked with Mobil Producing Nigeria and BG (British Gas) Nigeria before joining Seplat.
Okechukwu plays an active role in the Oil & Gas industry and recently served as the elected Chairman of OPTS Gas Subcommittee. He has a keen interest in the Nigeria Gas to Power value chain as well as the global energy transition journey. He is a trusted advisor to key industry stakeholders and is regularly invited to domestic and international conferences to share his unique perspectives on energy issues.
