Olakunle Williams is the founder and CEO of Tetracore Energy Group. a leading company with a natural gas portfolio exceeding 70MMScfd in volumes for industrial use and energizing over 300MW of power generation in Nigeria. Olakunle has developed more than 12 years of extensive experience across the Energy (Natural Gas and Power) value chain with past professional stints as a Consultant in the Energy desk of renowned professional services firm – Deloitte Nigeria, and a leading Commercial Advisor in the Nigerian Gas Company Limited and was one of the initial team of its affiliate, the Nigerian Gas Marketing Company Limited.
Olakunle holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Bradford School of Management (UK), is a Project Management Professional, a Chartered Management Accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultant, and a member of several professional bodies including the International Bar Association (IBA), Chartered Institute of Taxation (CITN) and the Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
Recently Olakunle was decorated with a Professional Doctorate and Corporate Leadership Excellence Recognition Award 2024 from the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (Ghana) for his unique and exceptional role in Nigeria’s socio-economic development and in prudent management of National resources towards a sustainable Nigeria.
His notable awards include recognition, In 2022, Olakunle was highlighted by the African Energy Chamber as one of the “25 Energy Personalities to Watch in Africa.” Guardian Nigeria’s Annual CEO Series in 2023 celebrated Olakunle as one of “Nigeria’s Fifty Most Inspiring and Definitive Top CEOs”. Olakunle’s excellence was further recognized at the Investment Forum in 2023, where he received the ” Fin- Forbes Best of Africa Award of Excellence.” Recently recognized in the 2024 Choiseul 100 Africa ranking of young leaders under 40 who are making significant contributions and creating value across the African continent.
