Her leadership has been pivotal in driving over $7 billion worth of pioneering and award-winning projects, which have spurred economic growth and enhanced sustainable access to electricity, transport, and ICT services in emerging markets.

Rachel’s career commenced at AES Corporation, where she developed essential energy assets, progressing through significant roles at global financial institutions, including the Inter-American Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation. Her strategic tenures at Rand Merchant Bank and TotalEnergies have highlighted her capability in leading investments that merge financial viability with profound social impact.

Dedicated to socio-economic empowerment, Rachel founded Ruwah, an innovative financial literacy platform that arms African youth with the skills necessary for financial independence, embodying her vision for a self-sufficient Africa.
