Rumundaka Wonodi

 Mr. Rumundaka Wonodi is the Founder and CEO of ZKJ Energy Partners Limited, an energy advisory, investment, and project development firm. ZKJ supports both private and public corporations across all segments of the power value chain from fuel to distribution. ZKJ invests and develops projects with low-carbon conventional and renewable energy technologies. 

Mr. Wonodi has over 30 years of experience in infrastructure finance, energy markets, and power development. He was the inaugural Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET), where he played a critical role in developing and implementing the trading and commercial frameworks for Nigeria’s Transitional Electricity Market.  

Prior to NBET, he led the Regulatory & Transactions team of the Presidential Task Force on Power, responsible to President Jonathan’s power sector reforms. He also served as director at Constellation Energy Commodities Group in Baltimore, managing transactions in North American gas and power markets. Additionally, he was a J. Olin Research Fellow at Yale University, focusing on North American power and gas markets.  

Mr. Wonodi holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Benin and an MBA from Yale University School of Management. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Power Engineers, a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and a member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
