Tosin is a passionate renewable energy professional with a background in education, operations, and program management. Her career in the renewable energy sector began in 2020, during which she has contributed to solar projects exceeding 7 MW of generation capacity and facilitated solar training programs for over 3,000 young people across Nigeria.
Driven by the electrification needs of rural communities, Tosin collaborated with a group of young professionals to explore converting oil palm biomass waste into clean and affordable electricity. This concept earned her the Best Regional Impact Category Prize and a 5,000 euro award at the ISC3 Innovation Challenge in 2021.
Through her work at TheEnergyAfrica, a media platform she founded, Tosin empowers and inspires the next generation of African energy professionals by showcasing diverse career paths.
To date, the series has featured 47 renewable energy and climate professionals from more than 20 African countries, reaching an audience of 70,000 individuals across Africa.
Tosin is a 2024 WiSER Fellow, a recipient of the 2024 FSR Scholarship, and a Hyperion Scholarship Awardee from the Quantic School of Business and Technolog
